"The Excavation Practices Task Team will diligently identify and gather, preventative and safe practices for the construction and maintenance of, and around, buried facilities from a broad spectrum of the underground excavating community. Excavating practices will address the full range of the excavating process: Preparation, breaking ground, the on-going excavating procedures, restoration and completion of the excavation process. The integration of information will be assembled for the "Excavation Practices" chapter of the Damage Prevention Best Practices study report. Careful attention will be taken to describe practices for broad interpretation and understanding by potential readers and user of this resource document.”
