OPS Grants Waiver to Tennessee Gas Pipeline:   March 16, 2001

OPS granted a waiver to Tennessee Gas Pipeline, waiving the class location change requirements of 49 CFR 192.611 for four pipe segments in Tennessee. In lieu of compliance with regulatory requirements, TGP is required to carry out alternative risk control activities along these pipe segments. The segments and alternatives were proposed by TGP in the course of the consultation process with OPS as part of OPS's Risk Management Demonstration Program.
